Bliss..

That's how I could describe being his wife. It's our 16th Wedding Anniversary today & it's gone in the blink of an eye... with 3 healthy kids later, we're both very blessed..

I wonder where all those cynics who said "They'll never last they're too young" are today?... it really doesn't matter but we sure showed them didn't we babe ;)

I love you & thank-you for being my best friend x0x0x

Breezes..

It's already been a year Essies, where did that go? I hope you know we did the right thing by you and I know now that we did even though it took me a while to accept our decision. Saying something and then doing it are 2 very different things & I'm not sure why we ever thought it would be easy. I think that your head tells you what you should do but your heart always overrides that.

Thank-you for being our kitty for almost 15 years you're still a part of our family & every time we see your plant in the garden we can't help but think of you & remember it all. I guess you know that Kitten is with you in your garden and even though it broke all of our hearts there is something about you both being together.

Yep we miss you Desha sleep peacefully beautiful girl xoxo

Tea Parties ..

Treasures ...

I finally put some things away today that had been sitting on our bedroom floor for the past 2 weeks, but first had to sort a couple of boxes in our cupboard before I could find a space for what had to go in there. All of a sudden I remembered what was wrapped in the randomly coloured pillowcases... a dainty teacup & saucer set that was my Grandma's, with a little matching sandwich plate.
I love these and want to have them framed in a shadow box to go on the wall, but the truth is, I don't really trust anybody to take them from me to have it done. I wrapped them back & for now, am happy to keep them where they are.
One day I will have them framed & wonder why I waited so long....

Warmth..

Today is Daffodil Day & everywhere around the country this one day brings Hope.. 'hope' to raise money for a cure to this insidious disease that takes thousands of people each year, 'hope' for another day & a step in the right direction for those who are undergoing treatment that a breakthrough will be found in time for them & 'hope' for those that had loved ones who didn't win their fight, that it's a day closer to something that will allow those people to be thankful for.

So today I dedicate these beautiful flowers that are only simple but say so much to my Grandma who lost her life at 66 years old to Breast Cancer.

I miss you and love you & each time I see a Daffodil I feel warmth & it brings a smile that only I know about, thank-you for the love and care you gave to me from the day I was born until that day that you left too early♥

While I am on the subject of our pets...

Meet Jaffa. She is a long neck turtle who got her name from her orange markings on her shell underneath. The older she has become the lighter her "orange strips" are turning. She's really social and likes to nip whenever she can. I love her beady eyes, she's pretty cool:)

She's going to need a bigger home soon, but with a cut out lid in the top to make it easier to get her out and a lot more often as well..She's great to watch running across the grass and sits out there stretching her neck taking it all in, runs off again and repeats the whole process over and over until she goes too far and we bring her back to her bowl of water or pop her back into the tank.

Meet Fluffy...

Our family is back to 5 kids now..we brought home Fluffy on Thursday morning just gone, he is a 6.5 month old Birman Seal Point and is settling in very nicely. He and Emily had a few issues for a day or so but now run around the house chasing each-other and tumble rolling, but all in fun. I even spotted them having a bit of a kiss earlier over their dinner bowls....♥

A new family

As you probably already know, our cat "Kitten" died almost 6 weeks ago, it was an awful time & it makes you realize how fast things can change with no fore warning at all. He was a much loved member of our family, as well as our first 2 cats (our first babies before our babies!), who have also gone before him, Desha, only 9 months ago.

It's not as upsetting now to go out the back and to look at the garden where they both are as it first was, i think it is also to do with our new 7 month old kitten that Ethan named "Emily", shes brought the happiness back that was gone after kitten very unexpectedly 'went'. We have had her now for almost 2 weeks and it's as if shes been with us forever. She has such a beautiful gentle nature and you could say that we are smitten with her.

She's still a little bit timid but is coming out of her shell more as each day passes, just today she jumped up on my lap which is a pretty big thing for her to do..I also got 3 meows and a kitty kiss on the nose from her, Yep it's far to say shes stolen my heart♥

Another thing I said to my hubby was "It feels like we had to lose our old family to get a new family when there was nothing wrong with the one that we had"..He agreed with that.
Anyway, here she is..Miss Emily x

Babyhood..

I scrapbooked this photo on Friday night and really wondered to myself about where has the time gone from then, up until now? She was 13 months old here and just beginning to discover new things, her own little personality was shining through. But what I would give to have her back at 13 months old for just one day (ok, longer if possible please!) to cuddle on my hip while I walked around the house doing my jobs♥ Actually I wish I could have all our babies this age all together, for one day...just to see them all crawling around & playing together♥♥

One of my favourite places...

.. Noosa's Main Beach.. I love the calm water and the green leafy landscape that gently wraps its way around the bay going towards the National Park. To me it's one of the best spots in the world♥.
It's a really special place to both of us.
This particular day, I took the kids down to the local library then to the beach for a paddle & a walk along the boardwalk which is right beside the ocean. We spent a week on our honeymoon here...

Inspired all over again

It's been some time since I even looked at my scrapbooking gear/stuff, but looking at my sister-in-law's blog and seeing the beautiful creations she is coming up with has inspired me again to get back into my work and get things happening. You go in and out of it, and for me it's making the time to prioritize really.. I have a couple of tins here ready to go...funnily enough, I mentioned to my daughter only days ago that I have a tin and some "Georgie paper" (Curious George) to put her little puppies into..might just be the day for it..watch this space....
